As we all know the world is in a very delicate place, so we decided to put on a car cruise around Central VA to bring the community together and show that there is still support for those in need. Every participant was asked to bring at least 3 canned food items to be donated to both Feed More of Richmond and the Chesterfield Food Bank. We were hoping to get at least 50 people from around the community to join in on our ride…we might have underestimated that number a smidge…

We had over 100 cars of all kinds, traveling from as far as Maryland, driving together to make a stand for our community. The diversity among the crowd was truly an amazing site to see. There were people from every walk of life imaginable. Not only did we collect a mountain of food items, we were also able to raise over $2,500 to donate to the food banks!

We would like to give a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who participated including those who helped spread the word such as Q94 Radio station and everyone who shared the event via social media.

Thanks to the success of the 1st annual Charity Cruise, this will the first of many community-driven events for Sweetie Boy Repair. Thank you to everyone who participated and we will see you again next year!
